I know how overwhelming it can be to take the first step. Whether it’s starting a new fitness routine, a weight loss plan, or even a new job, the first step is usually the hardest. We often find a million reasons not to start and tell ourselves all the reasons why something probably won’t work out.
But… What if it does?
If we never take the first step, we’ll never know what the future could hold for us. Self-doubt is something I’ve struggled with for a long time—and yes, I’ve missed out on opportunities because of it. But this past year, I’ve been putting in the work to better myself in a lot of areas, and wouldn’t you know—it’s opened up so many unexpected doors.
If you’re waiting for the perfect time to start something, that time may never come. Life is always happening around us, and there will always be obstacles. What really matters is how we respond to them.
💡 Just 2 Minutes: Build the Habit, Build the Confidence
After reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, one idea really stuck with me: when starting something new and scary, just do it for 2 minutes.
Thinking about starting a workout routine, but scared to commit? Just put on your workout clothes and do 2 minutes of squats. That’s it. The next day? Add 2 minutes of sit-ups. Over time, those small steps build confidence and turn into a real habit.
You don’t need to start with hour-long workouts. Two minutes a day adds up to 56 minutes a month—and that’s 56 minutes more than nothing at all. Momentum builds from the smallest steps.
🏠 No Gym? No Problem.
Don’t have money to buy equipment? That’s okay—bodyweight workouts are highly effective and seriously underrated.
No time for the gym? All you need is a small space in your house, your body, and a plan. That’s where I come in.
